In May 2018, DHL entered their newest partnership with ESL One, one of the world’s largest esports events. It is considered amongst Dota 2 and Counterstrike-Global Offensive fans the most prestigious in the world. With DHL we set our sights on creating an activation where young, tech savvy esports fans could hear the story of DHL in a language they understood.
The goal was to engage with the thinkers of the future and to raise DHL’s brand awareness with this growing and loyal audience. In July 2018, we debuted DHL’s new immersive VR game, the DHL BoxStacker Pro and showcased DHL’s expansive collection of highly tech innovations such as the EffiBot and Sawyer robot. We then created highly appealing digital content with esports influencers that has had fans applauding DHL’s enthusiasm and this fledgling partnership. With the online nature of esports, DHL have been able to gain global recognition for their partnership with plans for further activation in 2019.
